Engineer (Former Employee) says"not much to say other than avoid this place. this place over hires personnel in one area then lays them off when the finances get tough, not a great way to conduct business. and its a cut throat place. Cons: management"
Engineer (Former Employee) says"Do you like zero direction, leadership and cut throat peers and managers? Go ahead join the team! Managers are so lost so they shuffle the engineering team around firing engineers and managers alike to save there own skin. If you like getting thrown under the bus and not even knowing it, work at Permobil. Cons: The people in charge, the health plan sucks"
Financial Controller (Former Employee) says"The culture is toxic. The business make the promise to the employees and then denied it later. There is no integrity within the leadership team. Your voice was only been heard if you were the inner circle with MD. No basic respect for back office employees except sales and marketing team. Cons: HR is not professional. Employees need to polish her shoes to get promotion or keep the job"
Fabricator (Former Employee) says"expect to be micro-managed daily, with new cherry picked leads that don't know how to do job regularly. (about every 6 months). expect new leads to make the same mistakes as last and have 0 input on improving whats broken. management is one big group of drinking buddies you mess with one you are fired no questions asked because it is an "at-will" employer. the hardest part of the days are when management and leads get together and come up with ways to "improve" a work area they know nothing about. what i enjoyed most was making wheel chairs for disabled people and changing there lives. Cons: micromangement, daily harassment, and no real changes"

And they are a cheap company many individuals there that are production people especially the younger work force our looking for jobs. Cons: extremely short breaks, poor management, cheap company"

Been here 7 months and still haven't received a chance to move up and be paid a reasonable wage."

Hired as one role but then required to perform a role that was several steps back in experience and responsibility. Have the knowledge and experience to assist with solving some of their major issues but management wont listen."

Customer Service (Current Employee) says"Bosses will tell you one thing and do another. Back stabbing snakes around the area. You can work your back off and it’ll go without notice . The schedule is a 50/50. Pay is not Competitive to others. Benefits are better than most. Cons: Bad management, fake managers"
Assembly Line Production Worker (Former Employee) says"daily work was always having you wondering what parts you would run out of. I learn't about how motorized wheel chairs worked. Management had its moments but only advanced the buddy system. Co-workers were pretty laid back easy to work with. Meeting end of month budget was hardest part of job due to sometimes had to work 16 hour days.Enjoyable part of job was meeting people you helped in daily life with product. Cons: poor leadership"
Buyer (Former Employee) says"Company touts itself as world class, but definitely has a long way to go in that respect. Good products overall, but lots of issues behind the scenes. Management has favorites and those get preferential treatment even over those who routinely perform hard work each and every day. Company doesn't reward loyalty and has lost some really good people over the years as a result - and some were let go just because they didn't "fit the mold". Cons: Management plays favorites and doesn't try to keep good people"

Not to mention, they would rather look to higher someone from outside the company than to give an opportunity to someone from inside the company."

Management (Former Employee) says"Permobil has moved from a company that put end-users at the center of what they do. Now, it's primary focus is financial performance. Employees are simply "tools." Unfortunately, it is becoming like most other companies. Being foreign owned and managed, the view of culture is different across locations. From the top, people are viewed as replaceable and there is alwys discussing about the need for "competency adjustments." (AKA, reduction in force). In the US, people used to run to work and walk home. Now, it seems many simply consider it as a job. Engagement is down."

Purchasing / Forecast Analyst (Former Employee) says"the people were worked hard to make sure the chairs worked and functioned to the top quality before they ever left the building to go to each client...each co-worker was proud and dedicated to their job because all it one take was one mistake to cause that wheelchair to not work and some of clients whole mobility depended on our chairs. Cons: human resources and unfair treatment"
